wein.plus and Schlumberger jointly offer online tastings at the new wein.plus:club

High-quality online tastings with wines from the Schlumberger Group's top range will now take place once a month at wein.plus:club.

The new tasting format for private wine fans as well as for professionals from gastronomy, hotels and the wine industry will be moderated by wein.plus taster and sommelière Kim Schreiber and sommelier Thorsten Kiss. Due to the high quality of the wines and the many years of experience of the presenters, the new format has also become popular with professionals and sommeliers shortly after its launch: Currently, more than 200 wine fans and professionals usually take part in the individual tastings at wein.plus:club. The featured wineries also include top international wineries such as Gaja from Piedmont.

Following the live tastings, moderated webinars will take place in order to delve deeper into the topic. Guests can ask questions and discuss all important aspects with each other and with the sommeliers. In addition to food pairing tips, the moderators will also give the wine professionals valuable recommendations for the design of their wine list as well as for the assortment design in the specialised trade.

"Our goal is to make new, exciting taste experiences possible for the participants via digital means. At the same time, we also want to provide them with valuable knowledge about the origin of wines and the development of vintages," says wein.plus founder Utz Graafmann.

The basis of the online tastings at wein.plus:club are the WineSamples from wein.plus. The sample bottles, which hold about 50 ml, are filled with the original wine in a proven, aromatically neutral process and sent to the participants. With this extensively tested process, the quality, freshness as well as the aromas of the wine are completely preserved.

The tastings in the wein.plus:club are also open to other producers and institutions in Europe. For example, regional or supra-regional associations can present and explain their producers' wines to the public here.
