wein.plus and Bottlebooks agree on strategic cooperation for international wine events

12.05.2022

The European wine platform wein.plus and the data management specialist Bottlebooks in Munich, which specialises in the wine industry, have agreed on a comprehensive cooperation.

With the cooperation, Bottlebooks bundles its portfolio for collecting, storing and sharing wine information for event catalogues, online shops and trade fairs with the innovative wein.plus solutions for organising on-site, hybrid and online events.

The combination of these two competences, which are specially tailored to the needs of the wine industry, results in a flexible and particularly cost-effective complete solution for event organisers of all sizes. Because they only use and pay for the components they need to be successful. This makes the entire management of wine events for associations, institutions and distributors, for example, simpler, more powerful and more efficient than before - and significantly cheaper.

Flexible data management and powerful organisation for top events

Bottlebooks and wein.plus take over the strategic planning and preparation, the wide-reaching communication and the complete event organisation including follow-up work for their customers' events from a single source. With the Bottlebooks software, information from exhibitors can be conveniently collected, centrally organised and individually distributed in printed catalogues, websites and online shops as well as for online events.

wein.plus brings years of experience in wine event management and efficient wine logistics to the cooperation, in addition to its high online reach and editorial expertise. In addition, there are innovations such as the "WineSamples": special 0.05-litre sample vials are filled in a tried and tested process to ensure quality, individually labelled and dispatched. The "digital wine glass" is also a real innovation: a chip in the glass replaces visitors' handwritten notes. They can simply mark and save their favourite wines while tasting. They receive the list later by e-mail - with all the details about the wines and the wineries.

Targeted, comprehensive solution for event providers worldwide

"With Bottlebooks as our partner, we optimally combine precise and at the same time highly flexible data management for wine events with our know-how for the organisation of digital and on-site events. Our joint solution covers all details from brainstorming and planning to wine shipping and online presence to exhibitor, ticket and visitor management," says the responsible wein.plus managing director Alexander Schreck, explaining the advantages, "in addition, our joint offer is extremely flexible, individually scalable - and reliable at every stage." "In close cooperation with our customers, we have optimised our proven process by processing hundreds of registrations," explains Jonathan Harclerode, managing director of Bottlebooks, "and wein.plus brings its years of experience in organising events of highly renowned institutions with often thousands of visitors. These skills complement each other perfectly for our clients worldwide."

Among the long-standing partners of wein.plus are the German Wine Institute (DWI), Österreich Weinmarketing (ÖWM) and the Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates (VDP). The team also advises agencies and associations. Bottlebooks is used by more than 17,000 wine companies worldwide to manage their product information. Its customers include ProWein, the Institute of Masters of Wine, the London Wine Fair, Wines of Spain and many more.
